Beckers Group Announces Price Adjustments in Asia and Middle East

Beckers Group today announced that it will increase its product prices in Asia and the Middle East as costs for raw materials such as titanium dioxide have risen up to 30% over the last twelve months.

“New regulations in China have caused regional raw material supply bottlenecks followed by a dramatic shortening of certain chemical commodities that severely affects the coatings industry in Asia and the Middle East,” says Dr. Karsten Eller, Beckers’ COO and responsible for Procurement.

“We have worked to reduce operating costs and absorb these increases, but we have reached a point where selling prices must be adjusted to reflect the higher cost of materials. Sharing those costs with our customers is one part of making sure that Beckers will continue to be the reliable partner it is now known as,” adds Paul Menezes, President Coil Asia and Middle East.

The price increases will be implemented as contracts allow and details communicated directly to the customers.
