Assistant to Managing Director Italy in Caleppio di Settala, Italy

What do you do?

I work as the Managing Director’s assistant in Italy, taking care of the MD and top management’s daily/monthly activities (agenda and correspondence). I arrange meetings, events and transfers for the whole company and for the companies in the Group (if the meetings are planned in the Italian office or in Italy in general). I negotiate annual agreements with hotels and take care of hotel & flight bookings for the company.


I translate and interpret for every department when needed. I have also been a member of the Communications Council for Italy since 2008.


How long have you worked at Beckers?

Since April 2007.


What does a typical day at work look like?

Depending on what needs to be done, I first take care of the MD’s daily needs and priorities. Then, I answer emails, make phone calls to schedule appointments, arrange meetings/transfers/events. I book flights and hotel rooms and do translations or interpreting on-site or by phone.


What is the most interesting part of your job?

The most interesting part of my job is being constantly in contact with my colleagues all over the world.


What is the best thing about working for Beckers?

I think the best thing is that Beckers is a group, I would say a big family that is continuously evolving and improving. And this is very stimulating. Another important thing is that, being a global company, we can easily learn about different approaches to the job, different ways of thinking and share experiences at all levels. All this allows us to improve both as human beings and as employees.
