What do you do?
I handle the Technical Department at Beckers India which involves daily interaction with quality control, production, the sales team and our customers. My team and I work on new colours daily for pilot and big volume batches, doing trouble shooting and answering customer queries. I also handle the development and establishment of appliance coatings at different customers in India.
How long have you worked at Beckers?
I joined Beckers in July 2005, so I have been working here for a decade.<7p>
What does a typical day at work look like?
My day starts with planning the whole day, which involves planning and carrying out all the activities with my team. After that I have a small meeting with my boss to discuss full-day activities. Then I work in the lab to match critical shades or do trouble shooting of critical batches to support quality and production. On a daily basis, I also check and release recipes for production batches. After that I have to work and guide my team in matching special shades in the lab. Before winding up for the day, I discuss and review the status of planned activities with my team.
What is the most interesting part of your job?
I love a lot of things about my job. I work for a great company, with a great group of people and a great internal team. I have also made some lifelong friends here. I simply enjoy my job and every day is a new beginning and every task is a new challenge for me.
What is the best thing about working for Beckers?
Beckers has a great work culture and I feel like a part of family where everybody is there to support you both personally and professionally. I have been associated with Beckers for the last ten years and have had lots of opportunities to shape my personality in this organisation. It has been a wonderful experience and journey from a management trainee to manager and I am looking forward to bigger and more challenging assignments in future.
