Phung Manh Linh
Production Supervisor in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
What do you do?
I’m a production supervisor in charge of the grinding section and maintenance in the production department. My job is to control intermediate stocks. The first thing I need to do is determine how to provide enough stocks. Then I communicate with my manager to control RM stock and order more if necessary. I control all machines to make sure they are running smoothly as well as scheduling maintenance according to plan. I also control production costs related to electricity consumption and working hours to improve productivity. I improve my skills and working environment on an ongoing basis.
How long have you worked at Beckers?
I have been working at Beckers since July 2011
What does a typical day at work look like?
I first check intermediate and RM stocks, then follow up sale order monitoring. I discuss with my supervisor and boss whether there are any urgent cases that require faster preparation. I also arrange and complete other maintenance-related planning.
What is the most interesting part of your job?
I get to do and learn many things from my job and my boss. When I joined Beckers, I thought production management was very simple. But every day, my boss gave me more and more responsibilities and taught me so many things that helped me to improve my production management skills. I learned how to do electric maintenance as well as team management.
What is the best thing about working for Beckers?
The working environment at Beckers Group helps me to improve my working skills. I get great support from my manager.
